We recommend scheduling your first prenatal visit as soon as you suspect you're pregnant or have a positive pregnancy test. Ideally, this should be within the first 8 weeks of pregnancy. Early prenatal care allows for proper dating of the pregnancy, early detection of potential issues, and initiation of important preventive measures.
A comprehensive gynecological exam includes: medical history review, breast examination, pelvic examination, Pap smear (for cervical cancer screening), STD screening when indicated, contraceptive counseling, and discussion of any gynecological concerns. We also provide health education on women's health topics.
